Smaller shops can be surprisingly friendly if they care about repeat customers. They are simply the ones that fit well and survive many rounds of washing or daily use. If they ignore basic questions or reply with copy pasted text, I become suspicious. If many different people say the same thing about a product, it is worth paying attention.
